TEEN
CANTEEN REUNION - Neka may
have sparked a revolution with her powers as a Muse. She has awakened
the sleeping giant Sam Kinsey of the Teen Canteen and now Uncle
Sam is calling his troops to play one more time.
We are going to do this
in honor of Sam and his lifetime achievements and his help in
giving us all a start in our musical careers. This is going
to be a lot of fun.
The date is Sunday August
23rd at Floore's Country Store in Helotes, Texas. Reunion hours
are 4 to 12 am. The bands go from 4:30 pm till 12 midnight.
Admission price is $10 a person. Actual players get in free
but we ask that spouses and others pay.
The cafe restaurant will remain
open till 10 pm and the bar till 12:30. All ages are welcome
to the event.
We would all like to
extend a special thanks to Becca Payne and the staff out at
Floore's Country Store for extending the hours to 12:30 as a
special favor to us. The normal closing hours are usually at
10pm on Sundays but Becca is extending this at the burden of
Floore's employees. This allows us to have our reunion. Thank
you Becca from all of us.
